Area Sales Director

We are seeking a result-driven Area Sales Director to lead our sales team in Japan and China and help grow our customer base.

The Area Sales Director’s responsibilities include developing key growth strategies and plans, creating and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders, identifying business opportunities, and negotiating and closing business deals. Our ideal candidates have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Ultimately, the role of the Area Sales Director is to ensure the sales team achieves their targets, generate revenue, and maintain customer satisfaction.

This position is also considered a potential candidate for executive leadership roles within the company.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
  • Provide feedback to team members and conduct performance reviews.
  • Set and track sales targets for the team.
  • Report directly to the Vice President.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Director or similar senior sales role.
  • Strong financial and legal acumen.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems is a plus.
  • TOEIC score of 800 or above.
  • Residency in Japan.
