ARM Technology Symposia 2015 <Finished>

eSOL will participate in the ARM Technology Symposia 2015 in Korea, Taiwan, China and Japan.

An eSOL staff member will make a speech titled "Real-time Operating System Platform for Connected Cars" in Seoul, Taipei and Shanghai.

eSOL will showcase its eT-Kernel real-time OS-based software platform for automotive meter clusters. eT-Kernel RTOS has been certified for IEC 61508 Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL 4) and ISO 26262 Automotive Safety Integrity Level D (ASIL D). Besides, we will demonstrate image recognition in the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Title Real-time Operating System Platform for Connected Cars
AbstractAutomotive sytems are expected to play a key role as a hub of various devices in the IoT era which begins to take shape today. Getting smarter and more integrated, a thoroughly resource-saving RTOS for many on-board micro controllers are required, while Advanced Drivers Assistance Systems (ADAS), cluster meters and HUD with sophistecated UI need advanced OS features that fully utilize multi-many-core processors. Conforming to functional safety standards and ensuring security for constant Internet access connection are today's significant issues. Other than automotive devices, much the same is true on industrial devices which are going toward "Industry 4.0" and medical devices. eSOL's eT-Kernel RTOS provides an ideal software platform for such connected cars. eT-Kernel features scalability which supports both micro controllers and multi-core processors, and expandibility which allows to ingetrate a variety of middleware components including GUI tools. This speech will explain the latest technology of eT-Kernel which achieved ISO 26262 certification at the highest safety integrity level, besides its roadmap incluging the support of the ARM Cortex-M7/R7 and the ARM TrustZone technology.
